Beginner Courses

In order to join any archery club affiliated to the UK governing body called Archery GB, it is necessary to undertake a course of instruction on how to shoot safely.

We hold courses every six months of three 2½ hour sessions over three consecutive Saturday afternoons, (dates to be advised nearer the time).

The course costs £35 for adults and £25 for juniors. (We offer a £20 discount on membership fees for beginners who join our club within four weeks of completing the course).

Membership Costs
(includes Archery GB, ECAA & SCAS affiliation fees, membership renewals run from October 1st to September 30th)

Adults £134.00 per year
Adults Over 65£117.00 per year
Adults Under 24£84.00 per year
Juniors (Under 18's)£54.50 per year

Equipment Hire

All necessary equipment can be supplied by the club for a hire fee upon joining the club after completion of beginners course.

Hire fee is £50 - consisting of £20 refundable deposit and £30 hire fee for initial 6 months. (£20 per every 3 months thereafter).

We expect most new members that shoot regularly to purchase their own equipment after 6 months. Our senior members will gladly provide advice on type of equipment to purchase. Archery stores also provide expert advice on the best first time equipment to suit individual needs and budget.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All juniors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent at all times whenever attending the club
